Every day, we highlight one of Okemo's 127 trails. Today's trail is* #### 🟢 [Sun Dog](https://www.okemozone.com/trails/sun-dog) South Face, facing south, gets more sun than the rest of the mountain. To emphasize the point, there's the [Sunshine Quad](https://www.okemozone.com/lifts/sunshine-quad) and the [Suncatcher](https://www.okemozone.com/trails/suncatcher) trail. Strangely, Sun Dog travels west, away from South Face. You can take a sharp right at the end onto [Rimrock](https://www.okemozone.com/trails/rimrock) to head back down to South Face, but [Moon Dog](https://www.okemozone.com/trails/moon-dog) is a much more direct route. Shouldn't these two names be swapped? Sun Dog is typically used to exit South Face onto [Upper Mountain Road](https://www.okemozone.com/trails/upper-mountain-road) or traverse up over the [Glades Peak Quad](https://www.okemozone.com/lifts/glades-peak-quad) and down [Buckhorn](https://www.okemozone.com/trails/buckhorn) to the Main Face summit.   Anyway, Sun Dog is a gentle trail which gives you a lot of options for where to go next, whether you're following the sun or not.
